BISHOP ENG BAGAMUHUNDA URGES MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING AS HIRALY WEDS SARAH IN KABALE.

Kabale Municipality, 9th May 2026.

Bishop Eng. George Bagamuhunda, the retired Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi has called on married couples to embrace mutual understanding, cooperation, and teamwork for successful and lasting marriages.

The Bishop made the call today while delivering his sermon at St. Philipโ€™s Bugongyi Church, Kabale Municipality, during the wedding of Hiraly, a native of Rubanda District, and Sarah Asiimwe, daughter of Rev. Edison and Mrs. Dinah Ntegyereize of Kicumbi, Kamuganguzi Sub-County, Kabale District.

Bishop Bagamuhunda officiated the wedding service, assisted by Rev. Ambrose Sabiiti the parish priest.

In his sermon, the Bishop emphasized that marriage thrives when spouses communicate openly, support each otherโ€™s goals, and work together as partners. He congratulated the couple and urged them to build their home on prayer, respect, and shared responsibility.

The wedding followed a colorful Giveaway Ceremony held yesterday at Palm Valley Gardens, Mwanjari, where Sarah was formally handed over by her family.

Relatives, friends, and well-wishers from Kabale and beyond attended both ceremonies to celebrate the union.
