Kisoro. The Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna, Bishop of the diocese of Kigezi has called for unity and respect among the married couples. Delivering a transformative sermon to the congregation at Ikoro Hotel in kisoro municipality during the giveaway ceremony of Miss Niyigaba Gato, daughter to the Rt Rev Godfrey & maama Annah Mbitse the Bishop of the diocese of muhabura today, Bishop Gaddie urged couples to embrace cooperation and mutual respect as the foundation of a lasting marriage.
He also emphasized that strong families are built on understanding, prayer, and the willingness to serve one another. He congratulated the Mbitse (Bishop) family and blessed Miss Niyigaba Gato as she begins her new journey in marriage.
The colorful Kuhingira ceremony was attended by a number of Bishops from Uganda and Rwanda, family, friends, clergy, and other dignitaries, including Hon Akifeza grace, the kisoro district woman mp, Hon. Enid Origumisiriza, Kabale District Woman MP-elect, Bufumbira East MP-elect Hon. Roland Kanya Nkrumah, and the Kisoro District Deputy RDC.
