KABALE. Hon. Enid Atuheire Origumisiriza (Aunt Enid), Woman MP Kabale District, on Sunday 14th June 2026 officiated as Chief Donor at a blood donation drive held at Kabale Municipal Stadium. She personally donated blood to kick off the exercise.
The drive was organized by Kabale Corporate Club League in partnership with Rotary Club of Lake Bunyonyi during the corporate league’s 5th outing.
While addressing donors and corporate teams, Hon. Enid made a passionate appeal for a Regional Blood Bank in Kabale to serve Kigezi.
“Today we’ve filled donation bags at Kabale Stadium, yet our mothers in labor and accident victims are still referred to Mbarara when blood runs short. Kigezi deserves a Regional Blood Bank right here. It will save lives without delay. As your MP, I pledge to advocate for this in parliament”_ she said.
Hon. Enid thanked KCCL and Rotary for turning sports into service and urged residents to embrace voluntary blood donation as a culture.
Dozens of corporate staff turned up, making the 5th outing both a competition and a lifesaving mission.
