Kwania. The story of Akullu Holiver is one of resilience, determination, and steady growth. Rising from humble beginnings, Holiver has steadily climbed the leadership ladder and now aspires to contest for the Kwania District Woman Member of Parliament seat.
Holiverβs journey began in the private sector, where she worked with several small companies across Wakiso, Mbarara, and Kabale. In each role, she built a reputation for hard work, discipline, and servant leadership. Colleagues describe her as a team player who listens, learns, and delivers results even with limited resources.
βI believe leadership is about service. Working in different districts exposed me to the real challenges. our people face unemployment, poor access to services, and limited opportunities for women and youth,β Holiver says.
Her experience in Wakiso sharpened her skills in business operations, while her time in Mbarara and Kabale grounded her in community mobilization and grassroots engagement. These diverse exposures have shaped her vision for Kwania: a district where women are economically empowered, youth are skilled, and service delivery works for all.
Now setting her sights on Parliament, Holiver says her bid is driven by a desire to be a voice for the underrepresented. βKwania needs leaders who have walked the journey of the common person. I am ready to serve, to legislate, and to lobby for my people,β she adds.
As 2031 draws closer, Akullu Holiver is stepping forward from the boardroom to the ballot carrying with her the lessons of every level she has risen through.
