Kabale District Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Enid Origumisiriza Atuheire today delivered a powerful sermon at the COU Kisiizi Hospital Annual Mission held at Kisiizi Hospital in Rukungiri District.
The three-day mission, running from 24th to 26th July 2026, is being held under the theme: “Reform your ways and your actions” Jeremiah 7:3.
Addressing hundreds of believers, hospital staff, patients, and community members, Hon. Origumisiriza urged Christians to examine their lives and align them with God’s word.
“God is calling us today to reform our ways and our actions. We cannot move forward while holding on to things that bind us. It is time to break every chain and advance in faith, in service, and in community,”_ she preached.
The MP emphasized that personal transformation must reflect in how people serve others, especially the sick and vulnerable who seek care at Kisiizi Hospital.
“As leaders and as believers, we must advance. Advance in unity, advance in integrity, and advance in loving one another. That is how we reflect Christ in our hospitals, homes, and communities,”_ Hon. Origumisiriza stated.
She commended the Church of Uganda and Kisiizi Hospital management for organizing the annual mission, noting that such spiritual gatherings strengthen both faith and health service delivery.
The Annual Mission brought together clergy, hospital staff, and Christians from across Kigezi and Ankole to pray, receive ministry, and recommit to God.
Church leaders thanked Hon. Origumisiriza for taking time to fellowship with the congregation and for her continued support to health and spiritual programs in the region.
