Mwesigwa Fred Bitoozo, the LC3 Councillor-elect for Kitumba Parish, Kitumba Sub County, Kabale District that defeated the NRM flagbearer David Akankwasa in the general elections has called for neutral leadership during his term of office.
Speaking to our reporter earlier today, Bitoozo says his victory belongs to the people of Kitumba. “I will serve everyone without discrimination - NRM, independent, or Opposition. My office is open to all,” he states.
The Councillor-elect promised neutral and selfless service during his tenure and emphasized cooperation with other elected leaders in Kitumba Sub County and Kabale District. He says his focus is on lobbying for improved roads, clean water access, youth skilling, and better health services at local health centers.
Fred noted that the election period is over and it is now time to work together for development. Residents who spoke to our team say they expect him to bridge gaps between the community and higher local government structures.
