As Hon. Enid Origumisiriza prepares to be sworn in as Woman MP for Kabale District on 15th May 2026, she joined fellow MPs-elect yesterday at an induction workshop held at Golden Tulip Hotel, Kampala.
The workshop, organized by the Civil Budget Advocacy Group (CBAG), focused on promoting prudent public financial management and aligning parliamentary work with national development priorities.
Key areas covered included:
- Core principles and processes of public financial management
- Parliament’s oversight role in budgeting, expenditure, and accountability
- Parliamentary development frameworks and planning processes
- Strategic entry points for advancing the _Citizens’ Economic Charter within parliamentary work
The forum also provided a platform for dialogue, peer learning, and alignment on national priorities to ensure responsive and accountable governance.
Hon. Enid said the training will strengthen her ability to represent Kabale effectively, champion transparency, and push for policies that deliver tangible benefits to citizens.
