KABALE.
Hon. Enid Origumisiriza, Woman MP for Kabale District, today joined mourners at St. Modestor Catholic Church in Kabale Municipality for the burial mass of the late Immaculate Ziribumwe, wife to retired Headteacher Mr. Silver Ziribumwe.
Describing the deceased as βa mentor and counselorβ, Hon. Origumisiriza commended Mr. Silver for his dedication and care during the lateβs years of illness.
Addressing government priorities, the MP urged parents in Kigezi to put education first.
βIn Kigezi we have no major cash crop. Our wealth is in education. Let us invest in our children so they can compete and lead,β she said.
On governance, Hon. Origumisiriza called on residents to take the upcoming Local Council elections seriously and to βvote for capable leaders irrespective of religion or tribe.β
She further emphasized the need for unity despite political differences, noting that development can only thrive in a peaceful and united community.
