Hon. Enid Origumisiriza , the Kabale District Woman MP joined dignitaries today at Ryakarimira Town Council Hall for the swearing in of Hon. Can. Enock Kazooba as Mayor of Ryakarimira Town Council, alongside newly elected councillors.
Also present were Kabale District Vice Chairperson Hon. Prima Kemanzi and Kabale District Chief Administrative Officer Robert Mugabe.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Origumisiriza called on parents to take their children to school, with a focus on enrolling them in skills development institutions to improve job prospects. She also urged residents to join the fight against corruption and called for unity now that elections are over.
Warning on Ebola outbreak,
Origumisiriza called for vigilance amid the current Ebola outbreak affecting Uganda and eastern DRC.
Origumisiriza closed by urging everyone to “follow government guidelines without exception” to stop the spread and protect families in Kabale and beyond.
