Prime Minister and Leader of Government Business Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja this afternoon, during a Parliamentary sitting, responded to issues raised by the Ndorwa County East MP Hon. Dr. Protazio Begumisa on the floor of Parliament two weeks ago.
1. Network issue - Buhara Subcounty
On the persistent network challenge in Buhara Subcounty, Rt. Hon. Nabbanja told Parliament that the problem will be addressed by June 2027. This provides residents with a clear government timeline for intervention.
2. Kabaraga garbage issue
Regarding the Kabaraga garbage problem, the Prime Minister confirmed that it has been sorted. She informed Parliament that land for the garbage disposal site has been secured in Kaharo Subcounty and Kabalaga, paving the way for improved waste management in Kabale.
3. Uganda-Rwanda border victims claimants.
On the issue of compensation for victims of Uganda-Rwanda border incidents, Hon. David Bahati, former Ndorwa County West MP and Minister of Trade and Industry, told the House that the matter is being actively followed and that government is working toward a solution as soon as possible.
The responses follow heightened concern from Kigezi leaders and residents over service delivery and cross-border matters.
